Chess League - Season 2
August 27 - September 24 at 2pm
at the Golden Carrot Natural Foods

Prizes:
Division 1 - 1st $60, 2nd $30
Division 2 - 1st $30, 2nd $20
The format is exactly the same as last season:
A double round robin (every player plays two games against every other player)
Points accumulate over the course of the season.
There are 6 players per division. The lowest division may not be full.
The 2 highest scoring players from each division are invited to move up to the next higher division for the following season.
The two lowest scoring players from each division will move down to the next lower division for the following season.
The 2 middle players are invited to play in the same division again the following season.
Things that are new for this season:
New players will be added to the lowest divisions in USCF rating order. Since there was only 1 division last season, we have 2 empty spots at the bottom of division 1. The 2 highest rated new players will fill those spots in division 1.
Scheduling is much different. Games will be scheduled on the five consecutive Sundays, August 27-September 24. Weekly, instead of monthly. Weekends instead of weekdays.
Rescheduling matches became a problem last season. If you need to reschedule a match, they may be rescheduled to any Wednesday night during our regular meetup between August 27-September 24.
Notice there is no available reschedule date after September 24. Rescheduling for the final week will need to happen prior to September 24.
